Starting Point Summer Programme 2023

For the second consecutive year we have hosted Starting Point at the Landing for their summer activities. Their Holiday Clubs are part of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, a government funded initiative that supports children and families receive means tested free school meals during the school holidays.  This year we had lots of fun getting creative with the children, getting mucky hands making seed bombs. Encouraging their imagination with willow crown making workshops, making characters out of various vegetables, pressing flowers and shadow drawing. We also taught the children how to grow radishes and identify many of the plants growing in the garden. The children really enjoyed their time at the landing, many of them dont have access to gardens at home so its really important for us to provide a green spcae they can enjoy and learn along the way.
